Hello you lot. Not a regular episode this week as we’re taking a well deserved week off but we did want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. If you want to hear our year in review then shuffle back to Episode 122.

This year has been amazing for us and we’ve done so much. A huge thank you to all of you who have listened, subscribed, sent in a review or just popped on Twitter and said hi. We think we have a great community around this podcast and doing the show is a real joy each and every week.

We will see you when we return next Friday where we’ll be reviewing the recent Christmas Special – The Return of Doctor Mysterio. Until then have a fantastic New Year celebration. Stay safe and remember – Allons-y!

Hey Who fans! It’s our last (proper) show of 2016! We’re scrapping news and merch this week in favour of a quick year in review and then it’s onto our review of The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.

No news or merch this week.

“The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe” Review

We know, we know, it’s not one of the best stories (few Christmas Specials are if we’re being honest) but we haven’t done one before and seeing as it’s Christmas – why not? Grab a hot drink and some snacks, we’re going to finish the year on either a bang or a wet blanket.

Thank you for your thoughts and reviews, plenty of expected scores. You’ll hear from us briefly next week and when we return in the January (Friday 6th) we’ll be reviewing this year’s Christmas Special – The Return of Doctor Mysterio. Until then have a great Doctor Who Christmas and remember – Allons-y!

Hello you lot! Some cool news and merch this week followed by our review for the Series 3 story – Smith and Jones.

The News

Fan made Who magazine have released issue 30 with an interview with Peter Davison.

That wood-made Tardis desk tidy we spoke about many months ago is now back in stock. Keep those desks nice and tidy.

“Smith and Jones” Review

Modern Who week and it’s Martha Jones’ first outing with The Doctor. We’re big fans of Series 3 but does this one get us revved up for the remaining series or leave us feeling deflated like a hospital waiting room?

Thank you for listening and your thoughts on our review ep. Next week we’re reviewing The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe as, after all, it is Christmas. Until then have a great week and remember – Allons-y!

Hey Who fans! We’re at Episode 120 which brings some fresh news, a couple of merch items PLUS our last review of Class and our regular review of Ghostlight.

The News

In the London area (or maybe this will be an incentive to get there)? A popular meeting place for Who fans has now re-opened. The Fitzroy Tavern on Charlotte Street has had a refurb we expect the great sounding Who meetup’s to continue, which take place on the first Thursday of each month. We’ll see you there!

Merch

A couple of merch items – the last novel of the Lethbridge-Stewart range for 2016 has been announced – Mind of Stone and Doom Coalition 4 is up for pre-order from Big Finish.

“Class: Episode 8 – The Lost” Review

The last one! Can it follow on from the not too bad episode from last week and end the series with the potential we’ve wanted?

“Ghostlight” Review

It’s classic week and we’re spending some time with the 7th Doctor and Ace. Back to a creepy house in Perivale with aliens, scary house maids and a whole bunch of other characters in this sometimes complex story. Some good stuff in here or are we left dazed and confused.

What a show this week. Thank you for sticking with us with our reviews of Class and for giving us your thoughts on Ghostlight. Next week we’re looking at a Tennant story – Smith and Jones. Until then have a great week and remember – Allons-y!

Welcome aboard the Tardis for episode 119. Plenty of Doctor Who goodness this week starting with the news…

The News

We give you the all important broadcast times for the upcoming Christmas Special.

The Vashta Nerada are to return! Not to our screens but to Big Finish and will see Tom Baker as the 4th Doctor battle these horrid shadow lurking creatures. It’s part of the second volume of Classic Doctors, New Monsters which will be out at some point next year.

“Class: Episode 7 – The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did” Review

We’re still holding out hope that there’s an episode in this series that pulls us out of the boredom so far. Is this the one? Please let it be the one.

“Time Heist” Review

Attack eye-brows is back with us this week as The Doctor and his newly formed team attempt to break into the universe’s most secure bank vault. A great 12th Doctor story or are we left locked out with nowhere to go?

Thank you for listening and sending in your thoughts. Next week we tackle the 7th Doctor story Ghostlight, we’d love to hear your thoughts on that. Until then enjoy the start of the festive period and remember – Allons-y!
