Series 8 is rolling along nicely and after some cool news round ups I hit you with a review for Into the Dalek.
Peter Capaldi scooped the GQ TV Personality of the Year award which was presented by fellow Who actor Jenna Coleman. Seeing as we’re seeing a lot more of Capaldi these days and realising what a great guy he is this is justified and happy for the current Time Lord.
The BBC Shop online has despatched everyones pre-orders for the 50th Anniversary Box Sets but fear not if you haven’t received them yet, the Beeb have sensibly put them with couriers with instruction on not to deliver until the official launch day, phew!
Rumours of show runner Steven Moffat being replaced by Anthony Horowitz have been quashed by Horowitz himself saying there’s no truth in it so it’s Moffat until at least Series 9.
Some cool conventions coming up will feature a raft of Who actors:
- Winter London Film & Comic Con (Earls Court 2, Sat 18th & Sun 19th October) – John Levene, Frazer Hines, Wendy Padbury, Nicola Bryant and Colin Baker.
- Cardiff Comic Con (Motorpoint Arena, Sat 8th & Sun 9th November) – Louise Jameson, Bonnie Langford, John Levene, Noel Clarke and Sylvester McCoy.
“Into the Dalek” Review
I give you my opinions on the second episode of series 8 and if it follows the same quality and enjoyment from Deep Breath. And the question still remains: who is Missy?
Thanks for stepping into the Tardis for episode 12 and look forward to chatting all things Who next time. Until then – Allons-y!
